Hi! I'm Caroline, a dedicated yoga practitioner and certified yoga therapist.
Before I first discovered yoga in my early forties, I felt a dull sense of dissatisfaction in my life... What I hadn’t realised was what a mess I really was!
Raised by a mother with undiagnosed PTSD, her crippling overwhelm and anxiety was my “normal”. She transmitted her anxieties to me, and as I became an adult, my everyday life was filled with anger, frustration and exhaustion. Life was not easy, to say the least.
I had inherited many of my mother’s damaging habitual reactions to everyday life events, and I experienced a dull and constant unhappiness. This underlying emotional state combined with raising two kids… the never-ending logistics and feeling inadequate playing the multiple roles “expected of me” as a woman in daily life... were not a great mix. I felt lost, like a failure. invisible, not valued... You know the story. I wasn't sure what to do.
Then I started practicing yoga. One month in the practice, I could feel that something was already different: I was calmer, less prone to bouts of anger, and little by little my mind was becoming clearer. Over time, the changes became so profound that I decided to follow this passion and pursued formal training as a yoga teach, and then as a yoga therapist.
Since then yoga has remained the foundation of my wellbeing, the source of my energy and the core practice that keeps me grounded. It has also led me to research areas such as neuroscience, psychology and physiology and expand my practice to develop various powerful complementary tools and techniques, which support sustained physical and emotional change.
Nearly thirteen years later, I can say yoga turned my life around. Today, my practice has expanded to setting my personal vision, clarity of purpose and mindset, combined with the practice of yoga and meditation. I wish 15, 20 or 30 years ago, I knew what I know now… and I hope to share it all with you.
My mission is to help women overcome overwhelm and anxiety, and become empowered to live their best lives.
