My first yoga class was about 30 years ago, when I passed out during a breathing exercise in Miami. Nevertheless the incredible feeling of calm stayed with me as I got into a car accident immediately after the class and didn't even get upset... years later I found myself on the mat every day, and noticed the effects on my physical, mental, and emotional states: I had become a lot less worried and more accepting of whatever came my way. The mat became my best friend, my go-to place, whenever I feel happy, sad, or need to reset. I never put it away and use it as a rug in my living room so it's always ready to go.
My formal training began with Amy Pastore in Bali in 2015. I then completed a Level 1, 200 hours program with Sukha Mukha Yoga in Sydney the same year . I love being a student and seize any learning opportunity to better myself so I can share it with everyone around me.
In 2016 I started teaching yoga to adults, children and teenagers . It has been incredibly rewarding as I see all age groups learn about their own body, identify emotions, and learn tools they can use in their daily life to support them to manage the many challenges they are faced with.
My goal as a teacher is to help people become aware of how they feel physically, mentally, and emotionally so that they regulate their own emotions and have better focus, and experience increased well being. I provide them with pragmatic tools they can use anytime, anywhere. As a result they become more confident that they can tackle many of life's challenges. It's an essential tool they learn for the rest of their lives.
