My first yoga class was about 30 years ago, when I nearly fainted during a breathing exercise in Miami. Nevertheless the incredible feeling of calm stayed with me as I got into a car accident immediately after the class and didn't even get upset... years later I found myself on the mat every day, and noticed the effects on my physical, mental, and emotional states: I had become a lot less worried and more accepting of whatever came my way. The mat became my best friend, my go-to place, whenever I feel happy, sad, or need to reset. I never put it away and use it as a rug in my living room so it's always ready to go.
My formal training began with Amy Pastore in Bali in 2015. I then completed a Level 1, 200 hours program with Sukha Mukha Yoga in Sydney the same year. I also studied pre and post natal Yoga with Katie Manitsas, and undertook Donna Farhi's "Spinal Integration" workshop. Since then Donna Farhi has been a major influence in my practice. I love being a student and seize any learning opportunity to better myself so I can share it with everyone around me.
Teaching has been incredibly rewarding since the beginning. I love seeing all age groups learn about their own body, identify their emotions, and learn tools they can use in their daily life to help them cope with the many challenges they are faced with.
